As one of JBM’s custodial responsibilities, the company monitors the operations of the bauxite joint venture partner to ensure protection of the GOJ’s investment. Governance and fiduciary oversight of the GoJ interest is the responsibility of the Partnership.

Bauxite Partner

JBM’s current partner is New Day Aluminum (Jamaica) Limited, under the novation agreement Noranda Jamaica Bauxite Partners II (Noranda II). JBM no longer participates in bauxite trading but continues to monitor operations with its seats on the Executive Committee and on the Board of the investor on behalf of the GoJ.
