Jamaica Bauxite Mining Limited (JBM) is a Government-owned company (a Public Body) with a business enterprise mandate. In addition to being the custodian of over 4,000 acres of Government properties in St. Ann, JBM monitors the operations of Discovery Bauxite Partners (formerly Noranda Jamaica Bauxite Partners II), a bauxite mining operation based in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. JBM holds 51% equity on behalf of the Government of Jamaica in this partnership. The Company’s other core functions include operation of the port at Reynolds Pier in Ocho Rios, and maintenance of the Lydford Estate in the parish of St. Ann
JBM’s core business entails four (4) distinct strategic business units (SBUs) and their supporting functionaries.
